The Awareness, Care and Treatment in Obesity MaNagement – an International Observation (ACTION IO) Study is a groundbreaking international study. It is one of the first and largest studies to investigate barriers to effective obesity care among people with obesity and healthcare professionals in 11 countries worldwide.1,2

ACTION teens is a global, cross-sectional, quantitative, survey-based study that aims to improve obesity management and treatment for adolescents living with obesity (ALwO). The study has generated evidence to drive awareness of the needs of ALwO and caregivers and identified areas of misalignment among ALwO, caregivers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs). Through better understanding the perceptions and behaviours that may act as barriers to effective obesity management for ALwO, positive steps may be taken to overcome them.3
Approximately 13,000 HCPs, ALwO and caregivers took part from 10 countries.3
